Visiting
Visits to patients from family and friends are encouraged. The various units may have different hours for visiting. If there are any questions regarding visiting hours family and friends are encouraged to contact the unit nurse or socal worker. Private areas for visiting are available.
Hospitality Houses
In the Spring of 1997our first hospitality house was opened. The second house opened that Fall. Another house was opened in January of 1999. We are happy to provide a place for relatives traveling from a distance to stay on campus. The houses are available at no cost to the families of patients. All three houses are completely furnished. There are kitchen and laundry facilities. For reservations or inquiries, please call Donna Crist at (765) 966-0511, ext. 2000. Please call well in advance because these houses are used frequently. Our hospitality houses provide a nice, homey atmosphere for families t spend time with their loved ones away from the unit. Families are always welcome at Richmond State Hospital.
