Privacy and confidentiality concerns preclude showing photos of our patients. We are presenting some photos of staff to let you know who we are. We want to put a human face on the service we provide.

Richmond State Hospital is a public behavioral health facility operated by the State of Indiana. We provide psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment to citizens on a state wide basis. We serve adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.

Richmond State Hospital was founded in 1890. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and approved by both Medicaid and Medicare. We are proud of our heritage and commited to continuing our tradition of service.
